Postdoctoral Scientist

£25,622 - £27,223 per annum

Applications are invited for a post doctoral scientist to work on a project to identify novel processes relevant to human biology by characterising highly conserved proteins of unknown function. This is part of a collaboration between the labs of Sean Munro and Matthew Freeman, which combines computational and experimental approaches. This position will focus on experimental genetics, with an emphasis on Drosophila and/or yeast.

You will have a PhD in a relevant subject and extensive experience in cell or molecular biology. Experience with Drosophila or yeast would be an advantage. We are looking for someone with a strong track record and the enthusiasm to work on a challenging project with considerable independence.

You will be awarded an MRC Career Development Fellowship, which is a three year training and development position for a postdoctoral scientist who has recently completed their doctoral studies or is moving into a new research discipline.
